Our Story

The Story

In 2013 my father, James Bair, passed away peacefully in his home in Waterford, Michigan. James Bair was a gifted musician and a loving and caring father and grandfather. My family and I loved my father very much and I wanted to create something that provided closure, peace, and acted as  lasting memory of his presence. My family and I understood that playing and enjoying music, was a direct result of of my fathers commitment to us, and therefore, having a broken guitar laying around the house, we decided to smash it in his honor. The ceremony of smashing the guitar, turned into an experience of communicating tough feelings, healing, and celebration. The piece shown, is the first piece ever created and it is deeply meaningful to us. Since that time I have shared the experience with Veterans and others who have enjoyed the same experience. On certain pieces you may notice addition signatures of those who have participated with me. I consider these masterpieces of the human spirit. If you are lucky enough to own one of these pieces, know that their love, pain, joy, happiness, guilt, sadness and relief are what makes them truly unique. guitar art, guitar smash art , abstract art, smash art

Our Story

Veteran Art - Outreach

I often work with Veterans to produce very moving pieces of art. The process I have created is very intense for people who suffering in different ways, however, through concepts and techniques like Dissociative Therapy, an immense amount of healing and happiness as generated by all who are engage in the experience. After completion, Veterans pick a charity to donate proceeds of artwork sales, and when their art sells, they are informed of the completion of the cycle.

As a veteran myself, I am very proud to give back to the countless heroes that have served before me. I am constantly inspired through the joy of others to continue this passion for as long as I can. guitar art, guitar smash art , abstract art, smash art
